School Uniform

Glantaf are proud of the way our students are well-presented and thank our parents and students for the time and effort to maintain high standards of school uniform.

Our uniform conforms to current Welsh Government policies and guidelines as regards affordability, durability and ensuring equality of treatment between pupils of different sexes and genders, pupils from different ethnic and religious backgrounds and disabled pupils. Moreover, we are very glad that pupils feel comfortable in their school uniform, that parents value the quality and affordability of the items purchased and that items are easily purchased for families within the city.

Please join our Facebook School Uniform recycling site which is an important and busy site which offers good standard free uniform to families. This site allows you to offer and share unwanted uniform with others and includes at times, resources, textbooks as well as Prom dresses and Suits. You can also contact us directly at school to donate uniform items or to access free second hand and good quality uniform form our well stocked uniform store.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

The correct school uniform as described below must be worn at all times and remember to name tag each item.

• Navy skirts with pleats, knee length (or just above the knee).
• Navy trousers – classic style; NO black trousers; NO jeans style; NO leggings.
• Navy or black socks ONLY
• Permission to wear official school shorts throughout the year.
• Years 7-9: pale blue polo shirt with the school badge.
• Years 10-11: navy polo shirt with the school badge.
• Navy sweatshirt with the school badge. No hoodies of any type.
• Sensible black shoes or black trainers – NO trainers with colours, NO high heels.
• A hairstyle acceptable to the school; NO unnatural colours, lines or patterns.
• No jewellery is allowed apart from one pair of plain stud earrings in the ears.
• Make up / Nail Varnish / Nail extensions should not be worn.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM

• Navy blue skirt.
• School rugby shirt with the school badge.
• Navy blue cotton rugby shorts.
• Red polo shirt with the school badge.
• Navy blue gymnastics shorts.
• School sports socks – long plain navy blue.
• Football boots.
• Training shoes with non-marking soles.
• Tracksuit trousers with the school badge (optional).
